Truth in labeling

I’m going to write about bathrooms. Oh, don’t worry. This is not an attempt at scatological humor. I’m talking about confusion in labeling. Public restrooms, that is.

Signs on restroom doors need to be objects we can trust. Sometimes the owner of the establishment tries to get cutesy. One of our favorite Lexington restaurants has “Ladies” on the outside of the ladies’ room as you go in…and “Gentlemen” on the inside of the ladies’ room as you go out–just to kindly freak you out for one fun moment. Filed under: Random ramblings — denisedayspencer @ 2:28 am

His features were not those Harry had seen emerge from the great stone cauldron almost two years ago…It was as though his features had been burned and blurred; they were waxy and oddly distorted…and his face was as pale as the snow glistening on his shoulders…”

This is worse than I thought! Lord Voldemort is…Michael Jackson!!!

Upside to the empty nest

1. There’s much less laundry to do.

2. There are fewer dirty dishes to wash.

3. I can exercise in the morning while listening to loud music and not worry about waking up the kids.
