HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BLOG! This month marks the one-year anniversary of this little blog. I would like to thank both of my readers for making this possible. I especially thank my husband, Michael, for getting it going and for encouraging me to write. Hopefully, since we are no longer understaffed in my workplace, I’ll be able to post a bit more often this year.

Taking the lights off the Christmas tree can be just as frustrating as putting them on.

So far, my only New Year’s resolution is to take better care of myself emotionally and spiritually in 2007. Now if I can just figure out how to achieve that…

I’m trying to decide which is worse:

A friendship that dies (of natural circumstances, abuse or neglect.)

A perceived friendship that, upon its death, turns out never to have existed at all, except in the mind of one of the parties.

A potential friendship that can never be, or that expires, in stillborn fashion, before it ever begins.

Right now they all seem pretty sad to me.
